Batalha Monastery: Classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this monastery commemorates Portugal’s victory in a pivotal 1385 battle against the Spanish. Its architecture and significance bear testament to the nation’s medieval valor.
Fátima: Stands as one of the most significant pilgrimage sites in the Marian cult, holding profound cultural significance in Portuguese heritage, irrespective of one’s religious beliefs.

Óbidos is a remarkably well-preserved medieval village, offering an enchanting and picturesque setting for a leisurely stroll.
However, Óbidos offers more than just historic architecture; it boasts several unique facets:
In Óbidos, you can savor a ginjinha served in a delectable chocolate cup, allowing you to both relish the liqueur and savor the “glass” it comes in.

Regarding the Monastery of Batalha, UNESCO’s official website provides a fascinating insight:
“The Monastery of the Dominicans of Batalha was built to commemorate the victory of the Portuguese over the Castilians at the battle of Aljubarrota in 1385. It was to be the Portuguese monarchy’s main building project for the next two centuries. Here a highly original, national Gothic style evolved, profoundly influenced by Manueline art, as demonstrated by its masterpiece, the Royal Cloister.” in UNESCO website
Our guided tour of this exceptional monument is scheduled for the afternoon.
After the guided visit, you have the opportunity to visit the location where the historic battle transpired and further explore this theme with the assistance of your private guide.
