A few words about me

I am David Monteiro, both a passionate Tour Guide and the proud owner of this company.

With over two decades of experience as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Portugal, I held managerial roles in multinational corporations.

However, everything changed after a transformative sabbatical year in 2006 when I discovered a new dream: tourism.

Transitioning from the corporate world to tourism was no easy feat.

Yet, driven by passion, I navigated the challenges and embarked on this exciting journey.

Being a Tour Guide and company owner allows me to share my love for Portugal, its rich culture, and the beauty of its landscapes with fellow enthusiasts.

Every day, I’m grateful to turn my dream into reality and offer travelers an immersive and memorable experience in this extraordinary destination.

To be a Tour Guide is not only a profession but, above all, a lifestyle I enjoy a great deal.

Some milestones about Iberactive

• • 2007, the first brand was created, “Montes e Vales” (“Hills and Valleys”) started providing tours for individuals and team-building events for corporations and has been doing that since that time. You can check the respective website at Montes e Vales;
  • 2009 the brand Iberactive was born;
  • 2010, I start guiding walking tours in Portugal and Spain for US-based companies.
